Privacy Policy — Lanternwild

Developer: Oasis Forge · Effective date: 27 September 2026 · Contact: oasisforge.support@gmail.com

Oasis Forge respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the game “Lanternwild” handles, why, and what you can do about it. It describes the game as it is today; see section 9 for what changes as new features arrive.

1. On your phone

The game keeps these on your phone. They are erased when you delete the game or clear its data:

2. Your online account

The first time you open the game, it signs you in without a name or password. Our service provider, Unity Technologies, creates a player ID for you through Unity Gaming Services. The Account screen (Settings → Account) shows it. Like any online service, Unity’s servers also receive technical information with each request: your IP address, identifiers for this installation of the game, the game’s version and your phone’s operating system. Unity’s services also send Unity information about how their software is working, such as errors and response times.

3. Your cloud save

When you save at a shrine and have a connection, the game sends your save to our server code, which runs on Unity Gaming Services (Cloud Code). It checks the save with the game’s own rules, so saves stay fair once players can trade, and keeps it in Unity Cloud Save under your player ID, with the time it was saved. The save holds the same things as your game on the phone (section 1), but not your settings or email. If the server turns a save down, it records your player ID and the reasons, to help us fix mistakes. Unity keeps those records for a limited time.

We use your cloud save only to keep your game safe, to let you play it on another phone, and to check that saves are fair.

4. Signing in with an email (optional)

You can sign in with an email from Settings → Account, to keep your game when you change phones. This uses Unity Player Accounts, a sign-in service run by Unity: you type your email and password on Unity’s page, and we never see your password. Unity tells the game your email address so it can link the account to your game and show which email is linked. Unity’s Authentication service keeps the link between your Unity Player Account and your player ID. We don’t store your email in your cloud save.

5. What we don’t do

6. Who handles your data

Unity Technologies provides the sign-in, cloud save and server services above, and handles your data for us under its own privacy policy: Unity Privacy Policy. Unity’s servers may be in a different country from yours. Data travels over encrypted connections.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

8. Children

Lanternwild is meant for players 18 and over and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game, contact us and we will delete their data.

9. Changes to this policy

Features on the way will change what the game handles: Lantern Square, where other players see your name, avatar and lead spirit and you can add friends; trading; and later, ads and purchases. We’ll update this page before each of them arrives. Any change appears here with a new effective date.
