Hisscore is a Snake game. Almost everything it does happens on your device. The one exception is the global leaderboards, which send your score and a display name to a server. This page explains exactly what is sent, when, and to whom.
Nothing is sent anywhere until you say it may be. The first time you finish a game with a score above zero, Hisscore asks whether your scores may go on the global leaderboards. Until you answer, and if you answer no, nothing about you leaves the device at all. If you answer yes, each run scoring above zero is submitted when it ends. What is sent is:
Nothing else is transmitted. No email address, no contacts, no location, no advertising identifier, and no account you hold anywhere else.
When you tap SHARE, the app hands a picture and some text to whichever app you then choose — a messaging app, mail, anything on the sheet. That is you sending a message, not Hisscore sending data anywhere; it goes only to whoever you send it to, and nothing about it reaches us.
One thing is worth knowing about what is in it. Sharing a challenge puts a link in that message, and the link contains your display name and a record of the run you just played — the turns you made, so your friend's game can replay your snake and race you on the same board. There is no server involved: the run travels inside the link itself. Anyone who has the link can read both, so treat it the way you would treat anything else you send.
To keep one leaderboard row per player rather than one per run, the app signs in to Firebase Anonymous Authentication the first time it needs the leaderboard. This creates a random identifier that is not tied to your name, email, phone number, or Google account, and is not shared with other apps. It is stored on your device and by Google, and it persists until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
The leaderboards run on Google Firebase — Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Data sent to the leaderboard is stored on Google's servers and handled under Firebase's privacy terms and Google's Privacy Policy. Hisscore has no other backend.
There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind in the app.
Your high scores, top-5 local leaderboard, cumulative stats, daily-challenge streak, daily quests, XP and level, unlocked themes and skins, your chosen settings, and a short local crash log are stored only in this app's own storage on your device, using the platform's standard local-storage APIs. None of that leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Crash reports stay on your device. The app is built with no crash reporting service configured, so crashes are written to that local log and are not sent anywhere.
The release build requests one runtime permission:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS, used solely to schedule a local
reminder for your next Daily Challenge. That reminder is scheduled and
delivered entirely on-device — no notification content or token is sent
anywhere. The app also declares network access, which is used only for
the leaderboards described above.
Then say no when the game asks, or turn SENDING YOUR SCORES off on the STATS tab, which you can do at any time and as often as you like. With it off, nothing about you is sent. The app is fully playable that way — every mode, the daily challenge, quests, levels and your own records all work offline and on-device; only the global boards need the connection. You can also change your display name at any time on the same tab.
To have a leaderboard entry removed, email the address below with the display name shown on the board and roughly when it was set, and it will be deleted.
The game is rated for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only thing a player can enter is a display name, which appears publicly on the leaderboards — please do not use a real name. If you believe a child has submitted identifying information as a display name, email the address below and it will be removed.
If what the app sends ever changes, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date above.
